Sight Reading Lab – Finally Get Better at Sight Reading!
We all say we want to improve our sight reading... but somehow, it never makes it to the top of our practice list. This is your chance to change that. Guitarlab faculty will guide you through a structured, step-by-step approach to sight reading, breaking it down into manageable exercises, fun group activities, and real music excerpts. Whether you're a beginner or already have some reading skills, this lab will help you feel more confident and capable when tackling new pieces.

Flamenco Guitar Lab – A Classical Guitarist’s Introduction to Flamenco
Ever been mesmerized by the rhythmic fire and percussive flair of flamenco guitar? Curious about rasgueados, golpe, and compás? In this highly popular session, Guitarlab faculty Jaxon Williams will introduce the core techniques, rhythms, and stylistic elements of flamenco in a way that’s completely accessible to classical guitarists. No prior flamenco experience? No problem. You’ll walk away with a solid foundation and maybe even a few new tricks to spice up your playing!

Brazilian Rhythms & Music Lab – The Pulse Behind the Music
Brazil is one of the most rhythmically rich musical cultures in the world, and this lab is your passport to its infectious grooves. Our newest Guitarlab faculty member, a Brazilian guitarist and rhythm expert, will guide you through the essential dance and song forms that define Brazilian music—many of which have shaped classical compositions by Villa-Lobos, Gnattali, the Assad brothers, and beyond. This is a hands-on session where you’ll not only learn about the music but feel the rhythms in your playing.

Masterclass + Private Lessons – Personalized Feedback for Every Player
Whether you’ve never played for a group before or you’re used to performing, this session is a valuable opportunity to grow. All participants will get a chance to play and receive feedback in a supportive masterclass setting, as well as one-on-one private lessons with Guitarlab faculty. Just like in a university or conservatory studio, you’ll gain insights from faculty and peers while improving your confidence, technique, and musical interpretation.

Cocktail Party – The Classical Guitar Social Hour
At the end of each day, grab a drink (or a cup of tea) and join us for a relaxed 30-minute Zoom hangout. This is where we kick back, share laughs, and talk about whatever we want—from deep musical discussions to ridiculous memes and our infamous classical guitar guessing games. It’s a great way to connect with fellow guitarists, unwind after an intensive day, and just have fun. What happens in the Zoom hang, stays in the Zoom hang!
